I was able to spend less than two dollars to but five spiral notebooks and two packs of pencils (7 each) to donate to Project Backpack facilitated by Huntington Bank. The project ends at the end of the month, and I actually wish it extended a little longer. The really good deals on school supplies do not come until August, and it is a great cause to continue to donate to.
Is there anything momentous about 200 straight days of giving? Surprisingly, no. I was talking with my friend Mary today who asked if it has been difficult to find some way to give every day. Not really. Some days I feel blank--like any teacher, like any writer. But inspiration always comes.
